‘Nitkellem’ Festival to Promote Mental Health Awareness at Fort St Elmo

Valletta, 10 October 2025 — Fort St Elmo will host ‘Nitkellem’, a national festival led by Dr Lydia Abela to promote mental health and wellbeing in collaboration with the Government of Malta.

Organised alongside Richmond Foundation, SOS Malta, Dar Kenn għal Saħħtek, Special Olympics Malta, Simone Spiteri and Neil Agius, the event marks World Mental Health Day with a full day of activities.

The morning features an interactive journey for students, followed by discussions on relationships, art, culture, and food and their impact on mental wellbeing. Neil Agius will also lead a breathwork session open to the public.

At 5pm, a national conference will focus on practical tools for better mental health, followed at 8pm by the concert “Tesaġerax! Riċetta għal Ħajja Aħjar” — with all proceeds supporting Richmond Foundation.
