Valletta, 9 October 2025 – Ministers responsible for youth from 46 Council of Europe member states gathered in Malta for the 10th Conference of Ministers responsible for Youth, themed “Young People for Democracy: Youth Perspectives in Action.”
The conference, held after 13 years, underlined Malta’s commitment to youth empowerment, participation, and dialogue. During the sessions, Ministers adopted a declaration recognising young people as key agents of change and pledged stronger policies promoting inclusion, education, and sustainability.
Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation, Clifton Grima, said the event reflected Europe’s renewed focus on democratic engagement through youth involvement.
As Chair, Minister Grima thanked all participants and announced that Luxembourg will host the next Ministerial Youth Conference in 2028.
