Thousands take part in the President’s Walk in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund

Another successful edition of the President’s Walk was held this year, bringing together thousands of participants who made their way to St George’s Square in Valletta in support of the Malta Community Chest Fund.

This year’s event reintroduced the southern route, with participants starting from both the Sant’Anton Palace and Paola. They joined Her Excellency Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, together with Prime Minister Robert Abela, Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna, and Opposition Leader Alex Borg in this initiative that has been taking place since 2008.

Upon their arrival in front of the Parliament of Malta, participants were accompanied by a marching band from the National Federation of Band Clubs, along with athletes from Special Olympics Malta, who escorted them all the way to St George’s Square.

During the closing speeches by Malta’s highest authorities, a common message stood out — one of unity, solidarity, and generosity. These values were strongly reflected in the large turnout, with thousands gathering to contribute and make it possible for the Malta Community Chest Fund to continue supporting those in need.
