Forty-eight voluntary organisations across Malta are benefiting from a total investment of €800,000 through the 2025 Voluntary Organisations Projects Scheme (VOPS), administered by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector within the Ministry for Inclusion and Volunteering. One of the supported initiatives includes the relocation of Radju Leonardo 105.2FM in Ħal Kirkop, following almost two decades of community broadcasting.
The project was made possible through the voluntary efforts of members of the Għaqda Mużikali San Leonardu and a €20,000 grant from the VOPS scheme. The relocation involved the establishment of a fully equipped new studio, providing improved facilities and greater comfort, enabling the community radio station to continue serving as an important source of information, companionship and community engagement for residents.
