On Monday morning in Valletta, Prime Minister Robert Abela, accompanied by the Minister for Culture, the Arts and Local Government Owen Bonnici and the leadership of Festivals Malta, met with Carnival participants and enthusiasts.
During the visit, the Prime Minister spoke with the participants and saw firsthand the artistic work they carry out voluntarily and with unparalleled dedication to keep the Carnival tradition alive, which is part of our country's identity.
At St. James Ditch, Prime Minister Robert Abela noted the efforts of the organizers together with the participants, even during times of challenges related to the weather.
Dr. Abela also praised the work and thanked all participants and organizers for their dedication in putting on these activities in the Capital City and Floriana in particular, for the enjoyment of the public and visiting tourists. The Prime Minister reiterated that the Government remains committed to continuing to support these initiatives that keep our cultural heritage alive.
