Guidance to persons appointed to serve as Assistant Electoral Commissioners or Polling Station Officials

The Electoral Commission advises that the details of the persons appointed to serve as Assistant Commissioners or Polling Station Officials (including reserves) in the Elections for the European Parliament and for the Local Council have been published in the Gazette of -Government of May 10, 2024.


The Electoral Commission advises those persons who will serve (including reserves) on June 4, 2024, that they will only be able to vote on Saturday, June 1, 2024. The rest of -Assistant Electoral Commissioners and Polling Station Officers (including reserves) will only be able to vote on Tuesday June 4, 2024, at the Vote Counting Complex in Naxxar if they are voters registered on Malta and at the Government Experimental Farm in Xewkija if they are voters registered on Gozo.


The Electoral Assistant Commissioners and Polling Station Officers must attend in person at the place and date indicated and present the voting document(s) to vote. The hours are always from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm non-stop.


In no way will it be possible for these persons thus appointed to vote on Saturday May 8, 2024, even if they retire from office.
