Around 10% of MEP Election votes and 24% of Local Council Election votes remain uncollected

Unofficial figures obtained by this website indicate that on Thursday at midnight there were a total of 370,190 votes 37,217 remained uncollected for the European Parliament election - a little more than 10%.

This amount is basically the same as the election of 5 years ago when around 39,000 votes were not collected on a marginally higher number of registered voters.

The districts in which the most votes were not collected for the European Parliament Election were the 10th and 12th districts. However, more votes were collected in the same districts compared to the same election in 2019.

The districts where the percentage of uncollected votes increased compared to 5 years ago are the 1st district with 2,651 uncollected votes, the 2nd district with 2,075 uncollected votes, the 4th district with 1598 not collected, the 6th district with 1,551 not collected, and the 8th district with 2,082 not collected.

This means that the percentage of votes collected in these districts is higher than in the last election of 2019 - these are the 3rd district, the 7th district, the 9th district, the 10th district, 12- the district, and the 13th district. The percentage of the 5th and 11th districts remains the same as 5 years ago.

Meanwhile, regarding elections for Local Councils, out of the total of 457,343, 110,651 votes were not collected - a little less than a quarter of the eligible votes, or 24.2% not collected. This means an increase of 2.9% when the figures are compared to the last Local Council election.
