Hunter Biden Convicted on Gun Charges

Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, has been found guilty on three felony counts for lying about his illegal drug use while purchasing a firearm in 2018. The conviction comes during a heated presidential campaign, marking a significant setback for the Biden family.

Biden could face a maximum sentence of up to 25 years in prison, although federal sentencing guidelines indicate a much lighter punishment is likely. A sentencing date has not yet been determined.

The gun charges are considered less serious compared to the other federal indictments Biden faced last year, which include tax charges related to his extended period of substance abuse and lavish spending.
