Students Killed in Bangladesh

Quota is a horrendous discriminatory policy. After independence in 1971 ,  then government adopted the quota system to involve the patriotic freedom fighters in state affairs for the rehabilitation of wounded freedom fighters and to keep the new country functional. Although this system was effective at that time in 1971 , it has now become a significant obstacle for many educated and talented students in obtaining government jobs called Public services .

For a long time, ordinary students and qualified job seekers have been striving to reform this quota system. However, the government has turned this quota issue into a matter pending in the higher courts through legal complexities. The legal process in Bangladesh is very complicated and prolonged. To benefit a few particular  people/ group , the government, under the direction of the higher court, is prolonging the judgment of this quota process.

Since Bangladesh is a democratic state, university students began a peaceful movement appealing for quota reform. To suppress this movement, the government started an indiscriminate shooting and massacre of ordinary students by armed police Police , BGB .

So far, there is no accurate information on how many people have been killed mostly are young university students . Due to the government's shutdown of all social media and the internet, the correct information about the students involved in the movement is not available. As a result, no news outlet can provide accurate information on how many students are currently missing , killed or arrested .

Since all media in Bangladesh are under the government's control, they are not letting the international community know about this failure of the government in any way.
