Arnold Cassola calls for independent investigation into Bonnici Brothers

Bonnici Brothers describe themselves as a Building and Construction company.
Robert Abela was a business partner of Bonnici Brothers.
Theshiftnews revealed that Robert Abela and his wife Lydia banked huge profits from a property development investment they made together with director of Bonnici Brothers, Gilbert Bonnici, in 2016.
Then in 2023 Bonnici Brothers won the Wasteserv tender for the Maghtab incinerator worth over 600 million euro (since then annulled because of irregularities in tender process).
In 2024, Bonnici Brothers won the EneMalta tender worth 37 million euro diesel fired temporary power station. They got the money while we were left in the lurch, without electricity.
Now, in July 2024 Bonnici Brothers trucks have been seen towing some of these gigantic noisy diesel fired generators quickly ordered by Enemalta for an unknown sum of money.
Today Robert Abela is Prime Minister.
Given the circumstances, insider knowledge is clearly a possibility. We demand an investigation.
The people of Malta can no longer be kept in the dark. Pun intended.
