Trump and Harris Agree to September Debate

Donald Trump and Kamala Harris have agreed to face off in a debate on September 10, according to an announcement at a news conference at Mar-a-Lago. The ABC network confirmed it would host the event after Trump proposed three potential dates for the debate during the conference.

This appearance marked Trump’s first public statement since Harris became the Democratic nominee and signified his effort to regain political momentum. During the conference, Trump repeatedly mispronounced Harris’s first name, questioned her intelligence, and repeated familiar attacks, labeling her as “a radical left person.”

Despite recent polls showing a tightening race and large Democratic rallies in swing states, Trump downplayed the need for a change in strategy. “I haven’t recalibrated strategy at all,” he stated. “It’s the same policies — open borders, weak on crime.”
