Harris-Walz Campaign Kicks Off with High Energy

The newly minted Harris-Walz ticket has wasted no time diving into the political arena, shaking off the traditional August lull with a flurry of rallies, interviews, and public appearances. With just a week to go before the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, the campaign is aiming to capitalize on the momentum generated by its introduction to the public.

Over the weekend, both presidential tickets crisscrossed the western states. Donald Trump held a rally in Montana and attended fund-raisers in Wyoming and Colorado. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, targeted key battleground states with events in Arizona and Nevada before heading to a fund-raiser in San Francisco.

Since their initial rally at the beginning of the week, the Harris-Walz campaign has made notable strides. Democrats are currently on the offensive, with Harris leading Trump in national polls as well as in several critical battleground states, according to a recent Times/Siena College poll. As the campaign gains momentum, the next week promises to be pivotal leading up to the convention.
