Russia Launches Massive Missile Assault on Ukraine

Moscow unleashed a barrage of over 200 missiles and drones across Ukraine yesterday, marking what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described as "one of the largest strikes" since the conflict began 30 months ago. The deadly assault claimed the lives of four people and left more than 30 others injured, according to officials.

The strikes targeted energy facilities, forcing residents to seek shelter in basements and subways. This escalation occurred as Ukraine continued its cross-border incursion into southern Russia—the first on Russian soil since World War II.

Although Ukraine's offensive has slowed in recent days, President Zelensky announced on Sunday that Ukrainian forces had made slight progress, capturing two additional settlements. However, these claims could not be independently verified. Meanwhile, Russian troops have maintained relentless attacks along the front line within Ukraine.
