Hunter Biden Pleads Guilty to Tax Charges, Faces Possible Prison Time

Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to nine federal tax charges in a Los Angeles court, signaling the conclusion of a long-running investigation into his financial dealings during a period of addiction. Biden, who leveraged his family name to secure lucrative overseas contracts, failed to pay taxes on his earnings, leading to the charges.

Biden is currently free on bond and awaits sentencing, scheduled for mid-December. He faces a possible prison sentence of up to 17 years or a $1.3 million fine. The guilty plea comes on top of another legal challenge for Biden, who was convicted in June of lying on a firearms application in Delaware, for which he faces an additional sentence of up to 25 years.
