The Environmental Health Directorate within the Superintendence of Public Health has announced that the Pet Friendly Beach at Tigné Point, Sliema, is once again safe for public use following an oil spill. The site was initially closed as a precautionary measure under the Bathing Water Directive. However, after extensive efforts by relevant entities to mitigate the spill, the health warning has been officially lifted as of 18th September 2024 (press release number PR241464).
Residents and visitors can now enjoy bathing at the location without concern.
