Trump and Harris Respond to Rising Death Toll from Hurricane Helene

In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, which has left more than 100 dead across six southern states, both Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris turned their attention to the ongoing crisis. Trump addressed local leaders in Georgia, expressing "complete solidarity" with those affected and praising emergency workers for their efforts in the recovery.

Meanwhile, Vice President Harris received briefings from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Washington and plans to visit the hardest-hit regions as soon as it is deemed safe to do so without disrupting emergency operations. The hurricane continues to wreak havoc, with thousands of homes destroyed and communities struggling to recover.
