Yesterday evening, as part of the Notte Bianca 2025 activities, the Maltese Parliament once again opened its doors to the public, giving a good number of visitors the opportunity to see the building of the country's highest institution up close.</p> <p>Visitors had the opportunity to see the rooms where parliamentary committees meet, the Parliament Hall, and the public areas of the building. During the evening, the Speaker of the House of Representatives Anġlu Farrugia, and the Opposition Whip Robert Cutajar, met with those who visited the building and had the opportunity to talk to them about the work of Parliament and the importance of the people's participation in democracy.</p> <p>On this occasion, the Speaker expressed his appreciation to the public for the growing interest in the country's democratic institutions, and stated that these occasions strengthen the bond between citizens and their representatives, and also help to strengthen trust in the democratic process.</p> <p>A good number of Parliament employees were spread around the building to provide information on the history and architecture of the building, as well as on the work of the parliamentary institution.</p>
