Art exhibition in aid of Dar tal-Providenza
Speaker Anġlu Farrugia during the opening of the art exhibition at Parliament
Speaker of the House of Representatives Anġlu Farrugia inaugurated an art exhibition in aid of Dar tal-Providenza, held at the Parliament Foyer. Addressing those present, the Speaker described the initiative as a lasting commitment that reflects the generosity and solidarity of the Maltese people.
He highlighted how this exhibition has become a long-standing tradition, with over €250,000 raised over the years in support of Dar tal-Providenza, thanks to the generosity of the public and participating artists.
The Speaker thanked the residents, staff and volunteers of Dar tal-Providenza, as well as Fr Martin Micallef, for their dedication in ensuring dignity and quality care for persons with disability.
Fr Martin Micallef noted that the exhibition forms part of the annual Feast of Generosity, an essential initiative to support the residential services offered by Dar tal-Providenza, and encouraged the public to visit the exhibition and participate in the online auction.
