Federal prosecutors have charged Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas, along with five senior members of the group, with orchestrating years of terrorist attacks in Israel, including the massacre on October 7. The charges, detailed in a comprehensive complaint unsealed yesterday but originally filed in February, mark a significant legal action against the group.
The criminal complaint also implicated two additional senior Hamas members who had not previously been linked directly to the attacks. According to the document, 43 Americans are believed to have died in the October 7 assault.
