Israel launched an airstrike targeting senior Hezbollah officials in Beirut, reportedly bombing an underground bunker where key leaders were gathered. Among the targets was Hashem Safieddine, believed to be the successor to Hezbollah’s recently assassinated leader, Hassan Nasrallah.
The attack caused a series of explosions in Dahiya, a Hezbollah stronghold, with shockwaves felt across Beirut. Israeli officials have ramped up their campaign against Hezbollah’s leadership in recent weeks, signaling no intention to ease up.
Meanwhile, Israel is engaged on multiple fronts, carrying out airstrikes in the West Bank and Gaza. Over the past 24 hours, nearly 100 people have been killed in Gaza, while 18 died in the West Bank. Israel has also issued warnings for residents in southern Lebanon to evacuate immediately.
