During an official visit to the National Audit Office, Mr Himadrish Suwan, Chairperson of the Confederation of Young Leaders of India this morning presented a book titled ‘Exploring Malta’ to Charles Deguara, Auditor General. This interesting publication is edited by Mr Suwan himself.
In his remarks during the presentation, Mr Suwan expressed his appreciation for the work carried out by the National Audit Office. He also highlighted the Confederation’s main objective of promoting inter-cultural dialogue and cooperation across the world.
The Auditor General conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to Mr Suwan for the Confederation’s invaluable work and remarked that this book, highlighting Malta’s extensive historical and cultural heritage, evidenced the excellent bilateral relations between India and Malta. Indeed, this book holds special significance as it has been published by the Confederation of Young Leaders of India and the Confederation of Indian Universities in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Malta-India diplomatic relations. Whilst emphasising the excellent relations between the National Audit Office and the Indian High Commission in Malta, Mr Deguara also augured that the Confederation will continue to pursue its excellent work, focusing on its determined efforts to enhance global dialogue and collaboration.
On his part, Mr Charles Deguara presented to Mr Suwan the book ‘State Audit in Times of Transition – Reflections on Change and Continuity, Challenge and opportunity from Malta and Beyond’ emphasising that this publication give account of the extensive work carried out within this Constitutional Office.
