Israel Withdraws From Key Gaza Corridor Amid Cease-Fire Talks

Israel’s military has withdrawn from the Netzarim Corridor in Gaza, effectively vacating most of the territory’s northern region. Currently, Israeli forces remain in southern Gaza, near the Egyptian border, and along a buffer zone near Israel’s border.

Cease-Fire Negotiations

The Netzarim withdrawal is a key condition for a cease-fire deal with Hamas.

Israel has sent a delegation to Qatar to discuss the next phase of hostage-prisoner exchanges.

U.S. Involvement

President Donald Trump’s remarks about a potential U.S. takeover of Gaza and relocating two million Palestinians have faced strong opposition from the Arab world.

These comments could complicate further cease-fire negotiations.
