Arab leaders are working on a postwar proposal for Gaza, with envoys from Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE set to meet in Saudi Arabia tomorrow and again in Cairo next month. Their vision includes Arab nations funding and overseeing Gaza’s reconstruction while ensuring residents remain in place and keeping the possibility of a Palestinian state open.
However, deep-rooted challenges remain. Israeli leaders strongly oppose any plan that could lead to Palestinian sovereignty, while Arab leaders insist on a framework that at least nominally supports statehood.
