Shoot at Sight: Obaidul Quader
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, in reference to the curfew, stated, "This is indeed a curfew. It will be enforced according to the rules, and it will be shoot at sight."
In other words, Mr. Quader announced the order to shoot on sight.
He made these remarks to journalists regarding the decision to impose a curfew and deploy the army following a 14-party alliance meeting at Ganabhaban in Dhaka.
He said, "Various attacks have been carried out in the name of the movement. The state media BTV has been completely burned down. Acts of destruction have been carried out on important state installations."
He further mentioned that the leaders of the 14-party alliance discussed deploying the armed forces nationwide to protect the country's security, state assets, and people's lives and property.
Additionally, Obaidul Quader mentioned that the Awami League-led 14-party alliance sought the cooperation of the nation's citizens to overcome the current crisis.
