The Enemalta substation
Emergency works are currently ongoing at a substation in Sliema close to Preluna hotel. In a statement, Enemalta said that the substation was damaged by construction works on an adjoining site and that a number of consumers are currently without power.
Sources who spoke to Rising Malta said that the substation was extensively damaged as an excavator appears to have collapsed onto it. Enemalta are currently connecting clients to generators for a temporary solution.
