The Partit Nazzjonalista (PN) has published a document analyzing and recommending improvements to the Malta Labour Migration Policy, highlighting the need for a clear economic vision to guide it.
During a press conference outside the Identity Agency in Msida, Shadow Ministers Ivan Castillo (Social Dialogue) and Darren Carabott (Internal Affairs & Security) criticized the Labour Government’s consultation document, stating that it lacks a long-term economic strategy.
The PN submitted its recommendations as part of the Government’s 32-day consultation process, arguing that an effective Labour Migration Policy must be built on a new economic model for Malta. The party emphasized that any immigration policy should address labour market challenges through a structured, long-term plan, rather than serving as a political exercise to manage past failures.
